Understanding warning messages

Only one advisory message is implemented so far.

Retry using "Outlook Express" source format

If during the Generic mode scan Zmeil encounters a file which has an internal structure resembling the Outlook Express database, it will provide a warning message once the recovery is complete.

"Files are probably in Outlook Express (.dbx) format" warning message

This typically indicates that recovered messages are corrupted to a certain extent (because some format-specific features were not taken into account in Generic mode). The message ("The following files are probably in Outlook Express DBX format...") provides a list of files to be reanalyzed. The solution is to specify the appropriate mode and perform the recovery once again.

Our customers say

I corrupted my memory card yesterday. My phone wouldn't read it, Windows wanted to reformat. I used ZAR, Zero Assumption Recovery, got everything back within an hour. It has a demo version that allows you to restore 4 directories max at a go. Once I found it worked, I bought it.
